I've only listened to the Rob Halford ones, but it makes me very sad. Although luckily Halford is Halford, so it's hilarious and joyful. But when Halford talks about when he spoke with Dio at the Golden Gods awards recently, that made me very sad indeed. What a truly lovely man he must have been.

R.I.P Dio...He was an awesome singer and he made me smile.

I never got to see him live and I now regret this.

Dio was one of a very few characters that literally make up the way my fucking brain works and shaped my thinking:

I am lucky enough to have seen Heaven & Hell (BLACK SABBATH) 3 times. The first was at Wembley in 2007 with me mate Adam. We have NEVER wrecked our necks that badly before. I remember Vinnie blasting the intro to 'Computer God' and going fucking bat-shit. So mega-happy. I can remember getting goosebumps when Dio wailed "PROGRAM THE BRAIN, NOT THE HEARTBEAT!!!" It was one of THOSE shows. As was Hellfest last year. Hearing 'Bible Black' and 'Fear' live was epic.

I never saw Dio with his own band and that is something that is gonna bug me for a long time.

Dio was just one of those dudes/bands you knew you were gonna go see again. Like an old mate. I KNOW I'm gonna go see Motorhead, Metallica and Slayer etc again, and when H & H cancelled all these festival dates it didn't even phase me. We were just like "That sucks! Fuck it though, we'll see 'em a few times next year." I NEVER thought that this could happen, and when Chris told me I couldn't speak. Just like being told about Dime, it's a phone call I'm never going to forget.

People like Dio are the reason I'm in a band, the reason I spend all my money going to shows, and the reason why laying in a field with a cold beer at a festival somewhere on the planet feels so fucking good.

At least he has left us with hours worth of fucking balls-to-the-wall metal that'll be pissing of my neighbours for years to come.

I am absolutely guttered.

I don't think so. The recording was done very recently, he was probably aware of the severity of his situation. It's a credit to him that even in such dark times that he managed to maintain that life-affirming mindset that we love him for.

The more i listen his records the more i start missing him..

What a voice, no other singer comes close to piling that amount of expression into every word. I can't think of anyone who could take his throne currently - Daniel Heiman could have done given time, but he completely sucks these days - his latest band is a pile of wank.

I can't even find the words to express how I feel about that WBC crap. 'Absolutely fucking disgusting' doesn't even come close. 'They should all be raped hung drawn and quartered by a huge dragon beast' comes only a little bit closer. But whatever crap they try and spout, Dio's legacy speaks for itself and goes far beyond anything they can try and claim. They're just a pathetic bunch of hateful cunts. The problem is they bring out the hate in everyone else towards them, and that makes the other people look bad and gives these wankers more ammunition. I absolutely hate that.

Best to totally ignore them, as they obviously crave attention and get far too much as it is.

Or best to just light the cunts on fire and be done with em once and for all.
