I've arranged a phone interview with Martin Walkyier (Sabbat) for next Monday, and wondered if there are any questions you would suggest I include? I've already got various questions lined up relating to his current activities, the early days of Sabbat, stuff like that, but it's all quite predictable. Any serious suggestions would be welcomed, but be quick!
P.S. this will feature in the next Zine of Evil, when it is ready.

I take it you'll be enquiring about the Clan Destined?

Heres one;
"What do you honestly think to Mourning Has Broken? And if you had the opportunity to revise those songs (i.e. play them live/record them) then would you?"
(For the record, I'm fully aware that he didn't sing on MHB)

Interesting one dave, thanks I'll consider it!
Hmm, I'll ask something general about what he's been up to lately and I imagine they will feature, though I'm not familiar with that project really. I'm much more interested in his involvement with the HELL album!

Clan destined is pretty much his baby. They did a promo video for 'Beautiful Start To The End Of The World' so might be worth asking about that.

Re: Questions for Martin Walkyier?
ask him about the affiliation with gamesworkshop/white dwarf magazine and if he ever collected an army himself.
also that was a serious suggestion because there was a fair few white dwarf mags which featured promo c.ds and articles/interviews with english metal bands including Sabbat on numerous occasions.

Definitely about the Hell involvement - how he feels about trying to fill Dave Halliday's formidable boots. Also, Hell's considerable influence on the early Sabbat sound, content and image.

I'd ask him about his opinions of the watered down of paganism that all the teeny boppers and 15 year old goths ramble on about.
Like that, but making sense.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Then again, he's a Wiccan isn't he? Depending on your point of view, either popularised or made up by Gerald Gardner in 1954.

Well i can't say i have a running knowledge, plus i was using pagan as a real loose term.
Basically how he feels about the commercialisations of his beliefs.
