Thanks Rager man! No offence meant Lev. It's just that you love it.
If you give, you take -something I learned in prison (just kidding!) :help:
I'm buying a 100 watt Line 6 solid state stack in a couple of days. Good idea? Anyone got one or had a go?

hmmm for 400 I reckon you could get a nice second hand combo amp....Laney, Engl and older Marshalls spring to mind

Dont let the combo bit put you off, they would still be adequate for gigging etc...

Laney would be a good company to look at for the £400 bracket as I know they sell GH50s go for less than that.

They're no longer British made though, so they won't be as reliable as they once were.

OK, Line 6 is a no-no then. I thought it would be a good choice 'cos my POD is awsome.
I'll check the Laneys. Thanks.

If you're going to buy an amp and use a POD, you might aswell get a Line 6.

But wouldn't a Marshall 50 watt valve amp combi with a POD, sound better than a Line 6 amp on it's own? Valve warmth and mega distortion?

This is what I'm thinking of doing now. I tried the line 6 100 watt stack and it does sound a bit fake.

So does the POD. Which was my point.

Foolish words!

You need full stack action to be truly metal. I am currently building a second matching Marshall rig so I can run dual bass stacks. Then I shall truly be the loudest fucker in the world :)

Another matching amp head has been aquired since this pic. All I need now is another 4 10 cab in Jubilee silver.

Ace.
