Nick is a ridiculous drummer, seriously I haven't heard many people that can match his skill but I think he is too mechanical for thrash. He has no emotion but then again, that might work for Testicle.

Fuck you! Testament are awesome and The Legacy and The New Order are two of the best thrash metal albums ever recorded!

Although I'm a bit unsure about Barker's heavily triggered sound he's obviously a good drummer and I'm really looking forward to a new album.

Nick could be too machine like i think and not able to inject passion and feeling into the band, however i wont pass judgement entirely until i hear something produced be it live or recorded.

This album could go several ways, Skolnicks playing and jazz influence could help sway Testament into new ground or it could bring them toward something that doesn't work very well.

This album I look forward to hear as i don't have much idea of what its going to sound like.

On the last tour i saw Nick get up and play Over The Wall with them on Bostaph's kit and he did a killer job without the triggers. I think he's a good choice, dont forget they've had Gene Hoglan and Dave Lombardo in their ranks too so i think he wont make 'em too mechanical. I'm looking forward to hearing 'em. :rockdevil:

*yawns*

He'll only be the 19th drummer to 'join' Testament in the past 8 years that won't play on the new album.

only album i've listened to is the new order and it's pretty boring. Wheres the speed?

I've bought the legacy because of the reputation it has and will listen to it later.

I thought the point of the press release is that he IS playing on the new album, they've been rehersing prior to recording for the past few weeks. What remains to be seen is whether he'll play live with them.

you know, Louie isn't the best drummer in the world, but even so, the chemistry of that line-up is unbeatable, it was just perfect.

Chuck, Eric, Alex, Greg and Louie = Perfect band

The first time I saw Testament (supporting Anthrax on the ATL tour) Louie was absolutely terrible live. He got better over the years but on that first tour he just couldn't keep up with the band. It was so bad it was funny.

Gotta agree with Ol on that one. Must admit Tempesta was awesome with them recently though particularly on the live dvd.
