For Whose Advantage had a couple of strong tracks on it, but Shattered Existence was a fantastic debut. I played someone a few tracks (Crimes & Balance of Power and some others) a while ago and they were amazed it was the same band as they'd always thought of them as dull Metallica copies. Although I am slightly biased as they were from my home town

D.A.M's Human Wreckage is the stronger of their albums for me.

Not heard any of your two suggestions. I'll have a look for some of them - always open to new bands.

I agree actually, Shattered Existence is pretty damn good! Crimes is good and No Compromise is a good, storming starter. I accept it is not the most innovative album but it is plenty enjoyable.

Have been meaning to get Sacrilege's stuff. What I heard was really cool (did wonder if that's who you were referring to - or if there had been a second UK Sabbat). Also, reminds me that Detente (female vocalist) were alright with their 'Recgonize (US, you see) No Authority'. Apparently, the band are back but with a new singer because the previous singer has passed on... (I recall Ross Robinson was in the band - remember him?)

Holy crap i checked out this band the other day... TOTAL sick HYPER SPEED thrash from Finland!

they turned more DM, but the album/release "Festering Fairytales" is absolutely blindingly good... faster than sadus and i really like their style on this album... check it out!:::

Xentrix were always better live than D.A.M. in my opinion. Yeah, they aped Metallica a bit but not to the same extent as Slammer.
Both paled in a live situation to Acid Reign, though. The most fun you could have with your clothes on. I remember one cracking gig at St. George's in Preston with (I think) Nuclear Assault/Acid Reign/Reanimator. Someone stage dived right into my face about 2 songs into the Reanimator set and bust my nose wide open. Spent the rest of the gig mopping up blood with my t-shirt. Great night out though - alcohol helped dull the pain somewhat.
