Actually, throughout the day, I've been thinking of Leslie Neilsen and wondering why don't I feel sad, I guess it must be IMPOSSIBLE to picture that guy's face and feel any feeling other than joy! He lived a full life and brought so much happiness, fuck yeah!

Re: Leslie Neilsen dead!!!
I loved how he started out as a serious actor, then was in every 60/70's cop show, then went on to spoofs
Top bloke one of my favourites movies is Forbidden Planet not a spoof at all but captured my love for sci-fi at a young age.

I think he was overrated, and 84 isn't young.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Comedy like everything else is subjective, I am not saying I'm glad he's dead, or even that he wasn't funny. Simply that he wasn't THAT funny to me, I've odd opinions on comedy dude. So it's best not to get into this in a tribute thread.

Re: Leslie Neilsen dead!!!
He was a bloody legend and I was sad to hear this news this morning, I had very high realistic hopes that one day, Spy Hard 2 would finally be made.
I think it's about time I bought that Airplane box set. What a wonderful and hilarious man, he brought me a lot of joy in my life, even with The Naked Gun 33 1/3, and I remember going to see Spy Hard when I was but a small boy. Agent WD-40; that shouldn't be funny in the slightest, but because it was Leslie Nielsen I still remember it to this day, even though I only saw that film once. Amazing. As a comedy actor, his timing and delivery was absolutely top-notch and superbly wonderful. It's like Rowan Atkinson perhaps, it doesn't really matter what he says, it's just the way he says it and the seriousness with which he delivers it makes you laugh your face off. A bit like Arnold Schwarzenegger too, really. Whether he's saying "Here, hold this," or, "WHAT KILLED THE DINOSAURS?! THE ICE AGE!" you just feel complete and utter joy every time he speaks.
I really have loved Leslie Nielsen all my life. It was quite literally love at first sight. And I thank him deeply for the wonderful joy he has given me throughout my life. You've been great, cheers, gawd bless ya.
