Nah, not really. I'd say it's just aggressive heavy metal with thrash influences, and there's only really one song on there (My Apocalypse) that could be considered thrash. In fact 'AJFA in the Load era' as Dan said is quite a good description of it. I wouldn't call it thrash though, not straight-up thrash anyway.

Metallica have always done aggressive heavy metal with thrash influences songs on all their albums (exception kill em all). I mean, when hell freezes over and fade to black cant be considered thrash, neither can orion or the thing that should not be. I dont really know what my point is here, im just saying ...................

I voted no: whilst it does have Thrash elements on it, I wouldn't say it qualifies as a bona fide Thrash album. I'd say the same thing about the Black Album. It's not a bad thing that it isn't Thrash because they, like Megadeth, have done brilliant albums that were hardly Thrash before.

The Black Album is put down too much even though it does have very AJFA sounding thrash songs on (well about 2 or 3), but overall its a good album and putting an album down because it isnt thrash is silly, yet some people do it.

Especially when people don't put down earlier Metallica stuff that is Thrash, like Escape and Trapped Under Ice.
