Black list is one of my modern thrash favourite songs of all time. It summons the heavy metal thunder.

Rob Dukes is a terrible singer and his whole fuck the terrorists and America yeah! rant and Wacken last year was so dreary.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

I quite like Rob Dukes and modern Exodus, but i like modern Annihilator too (not Metal). So my opinion on that does not count.

Each is valid, like arseholes and all that.

Not a big fan of either newer boys, but Steve Souza-era Exodus was pretty storming.. not as good as Baloff though, blates..

Well yeah, Baloff was the best.. i do like Rob Dukes though, but modern Exodus, not so much tbh.

I totally agree with Exhorder though. Slaughter In The Vatican was amazing.. The Law wasn't as good.

Megadeth, Metallica, Machine Head (not thrash, but yeah), Exodus, Vio-lence.

EDIT: Exhorder, Exumer and Mortal Sin too.

I find it hard to conceive how Metallica "never came close" to Kill Em All...

I actually agree with Megadeth now i think of it.
Like Killing is my business and peace sells are the best ones in my opinion anyways. Same with metallica, first album was the best..

Actually, the big four are all pretty dissapointing in one way or another really.

Yeah but I think Ian was talking more along the lines of the 'one hit wonder' bands, or at least bands where the first album is by far the most essential. As much as I like Kill Em All, I don't see any case for saying the succeeding albums were eclipsed by it.

I misinterpreted that, my bad.

That may be the case, but I for one can't stand anything after Ride the Lightning. It just comes across as very very bad music to my ears.

Actually, I'd like to nominate Powermad for this. One bloody good album.. nothing much else.

Although I think they're back after 20 years, which e'll probably be shit.
