You will find with some arena venue's and festivals bands have to pay a merch tax to the organisers, so it means selling a shirt for £20 instead of £15 in some cases.

So unless you have a die hard fan base its generally not worth it.

I also found out the VIP section had a bar where they could buy cheaper beer then us from the main bars in the arena. Im proper glad they got stung and lost a lot of money the first two days.

That explains security preventing people taking any alcohol into the arena at all (even in paper cups from the bar)

Had a spiffing time, but why the fuck was the car park literally 20 mins walk away from the entrance?????

Far worse organised event than last year and previous years ive been. Even the marshalls i spoke to had had enough, one even said he'd seen better organised car crashes!!!!

Bands wre pretty much to time however, and in general, the sound wasnt to bad.

The issues with beer was a bummer, although we got in all we wanted (even tho that was only our allotted amount).

H.O.D., Seregon-james, povey, horses heads, twisty tents and african king diamonds were all sources of great mirth!!!!! HORSE-SPITTLE OF DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, i did an exclusive interview with Ananthema especially for UK thrash!!! (see other thread).

Also, i seriously did fall asleep during COF and missed the highlight of the festival (apart from the guy with the Dani Filth is a Cunt shirt!!!)

My non-band highlight was finding Wally! I made a Facebook group for him:

What a weekend, had an absolute blast.

However I am now unable to move my left leg and have spent they day at hospital haha. Some guy slammed into my leg in the municipal waste pit and at first it hurt, but after awhile I was confined to my tent in constant agony (because of the leg and also cause i was missing arch enemy and carcass). The medics had to come and get me out my tent and i got to go on the quad bike. Miraculously it was feeling ok on saturday morning so on with the show...lots of beer and drugs later I was back out moshing...and once again it got destroyed but fuck pain its bloodstock.

I managed to make it to the Final Countdown pit before an agonising trip home in which I had to drink 1000 cans of whatever the fuck was left to kill the pain from my failure of a body.

And someone stole my fucking keg of beer. Cunts! Oh and if you saw a group of guys with Shrimp and Lobster flags, that was me and my merry men!

Maybe we could have a flag or something advertisting the ban flags at festivals regime?

I waited 8 hours shaking like a smackhead to see Amon Amarth which turned out to be a sweden flag covering 60% of my view. Woo yay.
