Bought the Blu-Ray this weekend, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I have, however, listened to the audio from the gig and it's damned good. No, it's not the same as seeing the bands all together back in 86/87 would have been if they'd done it then, but I see it more as a celebration of the bands and the music rather than a knob-wagging "who's the fastest/heaviest" competition. And the frantic version of "Creeping Death" that Metallica start their set with is awesome. It feels like they're barely hanging in there together. I think they were amped up before they went on that night.
I haven't actually been arsed to see Metallica since 1991 (at Donington a week before I moved to the U.S., having seen them 11 times from 1985 up to that point) but I think next time they pop round I might just go. They seem to have regained a bit of their old fire.

Re: The Big 4 Live In Sofia
Been wanting to pick this up for a while. I'm hoping the video quality is decent, was a little let down by the recent Megadeth one.
