You're a liar if you say you never liked it  So what was the worst Nu Metal purchase you made. Mine was Coal Chambers second album Chamber Music I didn't even like it back then.
Now just Nick :)

I own 3 Limp Bizkit albums and 4 Kid Rock albums, plus back in the day I had all the mp3s for Slipknot, System of a Down, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Mushroom Head, Stone Sour... all of them.

Just for the record, I regret neither Slipknot nor SOAD. The rest of nu-metal is fucking lame.

I liked Deftones, and I still do like the later records and large parts of the first two. Really interesting music.

I never liked them, but I have a lot of respect for Korn - the first album was a totally new, dark, heavy sound at the time.

Nu metal got a lot of people into the darker side of music. I think it was a great genre untill the labels got a sniff that it was going to get big and then just started unloading band after band after band proggresively getting worse and lazier.
Now just Nick :)

Nu Metal wasn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I'd much rather listen to Lame Biscuit than Lamb of God or half of the shit that has blown up since then.

I was too old for Chlamydia and I was too old for Nu-metal.

And SOAD are not Nu-metal. No way!

The Deftones are a guilty pleasure of mine. I also have the first four or five Korn albums, Coal Chambers first, Limp Dipshit's first. Biggest waste of money was P.O.D.'s second album. I liked the song "Alive" when i saw it on MTV2 (only music channel we had that played "heavy" music on Telewest). Rest of the album was shite. Also have the first couple of Incubus albums.

I think deftones are probally one of the most boring bands i have heard i my life. I just could never understand how so many people liked them.

It was the 1990s and, literally, nothing happened?
