I'm not really bothered about it... you only need Necroticism and Heartwork, really.

Yes, that's lovely. I do like a number of songs from the first two albums, but these days I find the production difficult/annoying to listen to.

I love Swansong but it wasn't Carcass as we know it so I understand why people don't like it.

Black Star was a great band for those who like Thin Lizzy and Jeff sang like ralph the dog from the muppets. That bombed too though

Best Carcass song is on the Heartwork EP called Rot n' roll. Go find it!

(P.S. Our guitarist owns the heartwork studio masters. mmmmm, yummy.)

Reek is just horrible haha. Symphonies Of Sickness is great though because its actually listenable. reading from Terrorizer the band dont really like those two albums. When i say the band i mean Jeff

How does he own the studio masters?

If I had to listen to a Carcass album, it'd be Heartwork. Whilst Necroticism was the one I listened to the most when I was into the band, Heartwork always struck me as the most accessible. Blind Leading the Blind is probably my favourite Carcass song.

As for Swansong, it's probably for the best that it wasn't proper Carcass because proper Carcass, referring to the first two albums, were the gantest thing I've ever heard. Just noise.

I don't mind it, i suppose it was part of the progression they were going with....though Keep on rotting is a catchy number

This pretty much sums up how I feel about this album too. I actually far prefer it to Heartwork, because this album feels like a definite step in a new direction whereas Heartwork is sort of a wimpier version of whats gone before.

Enough said really. I'd probably throw in Symphonies Of Sickness too.

Swansong is a steaming dog egg.

I really like Swansong, not from the viewpoint of it as a Carcass album, just an album.
