I would imagine it is something like you and Zep, i am the same for Motorhead.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

I find it hard to compare two bands like this due to their vast difference in Musical Approach.

Cynic where very technical, precise and almost robotish. (not denying there ability to write or song etc...)

Led Zeppelin where much more about feeling and passion and putting the soul into what they where playing. Jimmy page was often sloppy etc... But it never detracted from what they where trying to get across and still making you feel what they wanted you to feel.

Although I suppose you could think of Cynic as the 'Led Zeppelin' of their generation musically. Trying to push boundaries and open up new areas for them to explore. However I still don't think its fair to say one 'owns' the other when the leap from each band to the next is so great. It's like me saying Exodus>Lynyrd Skynyrd

yeah comparing cynic and zep is ridiculous. a technical death/jazz fusion band vs a 70s hard rock (that term doesnt do them justice) band isnt fair.

i would disagree with bangover about the 'robotish' assesment of cynic though. Gobel's solo at the end of How Could I is beautiful.

I didn't mean it like feeling-less. I meant more like precise, technical, on the spot, to the bpm, dljknfghjfadsnhlalsfnh

You get what I mean

Maybe
