Good enough for government work.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Powertab will ALWAYS pwn GP, it has so many actually useful features and shortcut buttons!

Real Tab is the best for hearing what something's gonna sound like though

GP is a heap of shite

powertab has its own site and is FREE to download, always has been

and it can keep up with sextuplet 16th notes at any tempo

Realtab is free, but the sites down at the moment, silly Pez

Lev, how is that a stupid thing to say? You ever used powertab with the shortcut keys? it's so damn easy, you don't even need a mouse!!!

Think about it dumbass

if you can tab a whole passage out merely using the keyboard you dont have to keep moving the mouse around and clicking on stuff, saves time, saves effort!!! Also PT is a hell of a lot better for editing stuff, as in, it's actually possible to do without wanting to smash the computer up!

What do you mean it's shit? Please explain?

Billy Wei - http://www.power-tab.net/guitar.php big green link about half way down :)

Realtab is pretty much the same as Powertab in terms of editing/playback, except it uses real drum/guitar/bass samples and can keep up wit the songs, unlike GP.. it's still in early days though because no bastards were using it/ feeding back anything that needs fixing/changing...

Not very, say you're tabbing a piece with hundreds of bars and lots of different parts, you can literally type it in the keyboard, move it around, anything really except highlighting stuff!!! It saves looking at the screen, moving the mouse, clicking, looking at the keyboard, pressing the button, moving the mouse, clicking.. see where I'm getting at?? I guess you've never tabbed anything good anyway so you probably wouldn't know

Not wanting to take sides but i started on powertab and found guitarpro to be the next step in the progression. I think theres not alot between the two programmes but for me that fact you can do Drums tracks makes GP my prefered choice. Got any powertabs of songs youve written?
