I fucking hate the first two. They're too NWOBHM, i.e. crap, for my liking.. Saying that, I only really love Somewhere In Time. I rate Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Powerslave and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son extremely highly but Somewhere In Time is like:

OH ADRIAN!!!!

I really enjoy virtual X1, I'm a big fan of blaze. I think Brave new world is absolutely terrible. AMOLAD, well I don't know what to think about this one, when I saw them on this tour I was kinda bored and couldn't help but think about the 4 or 5 classics at the end But when I heard the fear of the dark intro, well it was amazing.

I bloody love Brave New World, for me Ghost of the Navigator is the best song they've ever written. The chorus is far too amazing.

Each to their own I guess, I really should give it another listen. It's been a while.

Iron Maiden circa '86 when Adrian had more of an input into the songs. Did you know Phil Collen was in line for the Maiden job if Adrian didn't get the job? Thank Christ they allowed destiny to unfold to the Hair Metal Gods' wondrous design!

Hahaha. I don't know who Phil Collen is, but I'm glad Faraz made that mistake, the thought of Phil Collins being in Iron Maiden is wonderful.

I will agree though that yes, Adrian Smith is amazing and the best guitarist and songwriter of the band. Actually maybe Steve is the best writer... well maybe he used to be, he definitely isn't anymore. Adrian wrote Paschendale, so well done to him.

Ahhh! Oh what a shame. Would have preferred Phil Collins :(

I warn you of this. Jons Iron Maiden knowledge is second to none. Not even Thorgor from the mountain yonder could surpass him. Pass wisely, avoid the trolls, avert your eyes whilst passing the boob'd wonders, and treat carefully on that patch of grass wot looks like piss, awright?

Phil is too good a guitarist to have been in Maiden.

Christ, he's good isn't he. I bet he couldn't write anything as good as Stranger In A Strange Land though.

Well, they did once release an album which spawned seven singles...

The funny thing about that video is that he'd probably drawn the short straw to do the solo that night. The rest of the band would have been below the stage shagging random birds. Still, I'm sure he probably emptied his balls numerous times after the gig anyway.
