Shock and Awe is the only real thrash track in my opinion. I hated Shovel Headed Kill Machine (To put it mildly). The only thing I liked about that album was the drumming so the comparison to Exodus is not a good thing for me.
I enjoy some of the other tracks on Killing Piece besides Shock and Awe but they are not in your face thrash tracks like Shock and Awe and somewhat tamed as a result. This is somewhat a dissapointment to me. The riffs are more drawn out groove and 99% of groove bands bore me. There is a bit of a darker atmosphere in the album than Exodus reminding me of Power from Hell a bit which is cool. I will still buy the album though and I hope Onslaught will build off the Shock and Awe sound but as I have said before they should really play what they want to.
