Does anyone else think that all that 'Prince Harry at war' propaganda is fucking lame? There's no way in hell he was in the real fighting. More like sipping tea with the officer class while sending over radio messages to bomb the fuck out of a faceless enemy. No different to a days shooting on the green. I'd love it if those mad taliban boys cut his plumbs off and fed them to him...

If he wants a career in the army then it should be his decision, and if there wasn't so much hype around the whole thing, putting other soldiers in potential danger, he could still be getting on with the job now.

I'm very much pro-constitutional monarchy, and hope I'm in the grave before we have some gay republic.

I was doing video vox pops on this today, most of them just said he should be allowed to do what he wants, unless it endangers people around him, which I agree with. Maybe it was foolish to think in the first place that the press wouldn't have found out, which obviously leads to endangerment.

It very much looks like that he had a nice day out on the beach in some army gear, shot a gun and then came home with the purpose of portraying what a bloody brave royal family we have. Hmph.

Probably be better for the royal family if he died - their popularity would probably skyrocket. And there'd be an ongoing murder mystery in crappy middle market xenophobic tabloids for the next 15 years. Basically, it'd be hell.

That's clearly not going to happen. What was the Diana thing, 95? 97? We've still got at least 2 years of that left before they get bored and need a new story.

Frankly I feel pretty sorry for the royal family. Everyone thinks it'd be ace to have all that money and power and crap, but realistically they are some of the most restricted people in the world. They have people to tell them what to do and where they should be at what time, and people to do everything for them. I mean, what good is haveing money when you're not allowed to go out on the piss or get a hooker or buy a Ferrari and drive at 150mph? You know they're so closed off that the queen can't even dress herself? I don't mean she's not allowed to, I mean she actually doesn't know how to. That's not cool. And all of the actual power they used to have has been passed to the prime minister anyway.
