The low end on our song is fucking ridiculous, no kick drums! No bass!

Since one night in 2005 when I was doing my shopping at Tesco whilst listening to the first Sepultura album (Morbid Visions?). I was standing at the checkout and suddenly thought:
'Hang on! This is SHIT!'
Since that fateful night my, to that point, unshakeable love of Thrash with crap production was broken.

I'd completely agree with that and I prefer a good production as well but I still love thrash.
