You know what... and this shocks and horrifies me... I don't think I've heard a single Helloween track.
"And what about the churches and all their wealth
There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

I like Early and mid period helloween (up to keeper pt2) and tis quite true that they earned and deserved the nickname "the iron maiden of thrash". They did start to go off the boil seriously afetr the keeper albums and to be honest i haven't heard anything of the last 6 studio albums!!

Did you know that some of the early thrashy stuff actually dates back to the late 70s/ very early 80s and tracks like Murderer, metal invaders, gorgar and victims of fate date from this period some BEFORE metallica formed!!!! The first thrash band????

I used to like them a bit, but got bored of them. Just A Little Sign is a great song though, cheesy as fuck!

Speed Metal... oh yeah. Defo on the mini LP and 'Walls Of Jericho' LP. Enjoyed the 'Keepers...' LPs, but the early stuff is the best. Political lyrics as well... not your run of the mill thrash band.

The crime is life
The sentence is death

Aye,although they are now credited as one of the original exponents of "power metal" they were originally coined a speed metal band, they were certainly one of the fastest around at the time.Without going into my vinyl vault to check I'm certain they were on one of the original "Speed Kills " albums as well.
Remember "Heavy Metal(is the law)!
"Thorn wishes aegis,rapturous beasts below"
"Aegis arising,the colours of space"

I like their stuff up to "Keepers II". They used to be a good live band, but I haven't seen them for a long time so I have no idea what they're like now.
You know their drummer from that period (up to "Chameleon") committed suicide ? Sad end.

I love the Kai Hansen era Helloween, the last Helloween album i brought was "Pink Bubbles Go Ape" and that was GARBAGE

Has anyone checked out Michael Kiskes' Myspace site?

B.T.W. March 8th was the 12th anniversary of Ingo Schwichtenberg's suicide.
