Friends with Lee Altus and Heathen, as are the rest of the Glasgow gang who post on here.
I also used to see/speak to Pete Agnew from Nazareth from time-to-time because he lived across the road from this a garage my first band rehearsed in.

One of my mates is friends with Phil Campbell so I've met him on occasions. I know random people outside metal...James Dean Bradfield (Manic Street Preachers), met Kelly Jones (Stereophonics) a few times, went to a big launch party for this new members-only club in Cardiff where I managed to meet Charlotte Church, some dude who is the head of Sony Records UK, one of the PR execs for Mean Fiddler (got friendly with her and managed to get on her guestlist for Reading in 2003 when Metallica played...free weekend guest passes, met shit loads of celebs backstage)...thats all I can think of for now.
Oh, another one of my mates knows Rogers Waters, though I've never met him.
EDIT: Forgot, I also know Katherine Jenkins.

I used to know Jannick Gers' brother and hence met Jannick more than once or twice when I was younger.
I've met quite a few people over the years ... the best laugh were Eggi and Jens from Edguy ... one of the nicest was Greg Christian from Testament! Top bloke! The Xentrix guys are all lovely too!

At least you've met the master of the tubs himself lol (aka Mr Nicko McBrain) - as have I.
As for famous people - no thrash or metal ones really - met Brian May once, and am friends with the We Will Rock You drummer Tony Bourke.

Yeah I think he does, he was in London for the London Guitar Show with We Will Rock You guitarist Phil Hilbourne.
Why doesn't anybody famous live near me?
