My drummer uses the longboards.

Coolio! Never used a direct drive pedal before. I'd love to be able to try them, they seem to be very popular...if not expensive!

Yeah, they were very expensive, but he works quite a lot so always manages to get hold of decent gear. As far as how good they are I obviously couldn't say, but he definately improved a shit load when he got them.

Those axis pedals are indeed excellent but they don't suit all styles. They are very responsive indeed and if you're a heavy hitter, they can sometimes be more of a hindrance than a help. Nonetheless, for precise and fast playing, they are the bollocks.

As for guitar pedals, I don't really use that many myself. I have a Boss GT-6 which I run in the FX-loop of my amps for reverbs, delays, choruses and all that nonsense and I also have a Boss SD-1 which occasionally gets wheeled out when I'm in the mood to 'slam' the crunch channels of whatever amp I'm using. Handy little device to have around that one, particularly if you're using rehearsal studio amp heads which is always a bit of a lottery. Sometimes you need the extra 'push'.

I use a Boss SD1 Super Over Drive pedal. That's one peice of gear I probably couldn't do without!

I set the level to the max,Tone at 12 o'clock (sometimes 2 o'clock depending on the amps gain settings),and the Drive on 9 o'clock.

I feel it's the best pedal for a booster.

I've tried the Zakk Wylde overdrive,I liked it but prefer my Boss SD1,the SD1 is only £39,the Zakk Wylde pedal is about £75.I won't pay that much for a pedal that I don't need.Especially as my SD1 is better for my sound and cheaper anyway!

get a GT-8, its everything you could ever want

plus it supports external overdrive if youve got a meaty analog pedal you want to keep using

Like said before i use a Boss Super Overdrive but i used to use a modded one and would highly recommend people buying the pedal mod for it (like 20 USD or something) as it mods it to the exact specs of Tube Screamer 808!....

I also wack my boss GT-3 in the effects loop of my amp for some nice authentic Boss Delays and Chorus's etc...

Currently i use a Fulltone Fatboost into a JCM 800, the Fat boost is great, i use it as a buffer pedal, makes the whole sound fuller with loooaaaads of harmonics and sustains for ages.

Eventually i want to get a Fulltone Clyde Wah, and some sort of bankable delay pedal, possably a chorus pedal aswell.

Oh also.... Boss Chromatic tuner pedals FTW! i can't stress how painful it is when you goto a gig and have either some person tuning his guitar on full blast through the p.a, or playing the entire set half a semi tone out of tune, it makes my ears vomit.

You have to remember- It serves them right for being knuckle dragging northeners.

I use a Marshall Guv'nor 2. It is a really nice pedal.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

I use a Line 6 Flextone 3 amp so all the effects are built in. It's got a pedal with wah built into the volume control and 4 foot switches to change guitar tone that you save to the amp... Problem is it's my second Line 6 amp and I'm having problems with it after just 1 month of buying the fucker.

Just the amp. Peavey XXX with sexy new tubes hopefully.

Might use an additional chorus / reverb pedal on the side, but generally just use my amp's distortion.

My feet are too chucky to fap around with pedals!
