Hey everybody
I'm new to the forum and thought I'd say hi by introducing you to my band
Were called Empathy and are a thrash band from Harwich Essex we've seen quite a nice scene building up in England for a while now and wish to find our little band a home in it, so check us out and give us some feed back.
We recently recorded a new EP at Academy Studios in Colchester entitled 'Skulls On Fire' the track list is as follows:
01. Burial
02. Deceivers Dawn
03. Skulls On Fire

I just listened to Skulls On Fire, I really dig those vocals! Unique sounding and a bit raw, I can hear definitely some early Hetfield influence in there! Maybe if the English accent was pushed a little more they would be perfect. Good song anyway, I will listen to the rest later.

Hello and welcome to this delightful place of joy. I'm quite liking this music indeed. I see where Lyall's coming from here though with his comment about the similarities to the Kill 'Em All/Ride The Lightning 'Tallica style - in fact, it sounds a little too close to it to be honest [I deleted Lyall's post for being a shitty unconstructive welcome - Jimmy Boy], but saying that, there's a good energy to it and the tracks I heard were very enjoyable to listen to! End The Show was cool, a bit too reminiscent of The Four Horsemen in the chorus but still fun, and Skulls of Fire was a great bit of thrash fun.
You guys can certainly play your instruments well and have a good energy and pace, these songs are good fun to listen to, but it would just be nice to hear something a little different, 'tis all. Still sounds good though! Far better than some other young bands I've heard - not particular on here I mean, but just in general. Lovely.

Theyre Death and Necrophagist fans, safe.
pretty good. At this early stage thrash comes first, originality second. With influences such as those above theyre bound to find their own niche in time.

Well produced and easy to get into - I would agree with Lyall's late post, regarding the Hetfield sneer to the vocals though - you just can't really do that nowaways without sounding like a rip off.
The tracks have some cool guitar playing and nice speed though, as well as decent melodies in there. Welcome to the forum!
And one other thing - others might disagree, but if it was me I would definitely change the band name - Empathy is a pretty feeble summary of your sound, and makes you sound a bit weedier than you are

Paedo-Isles It's the best name ever.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

I don't think you should have deleted Lyall's comments, he is entitled to tell them what he thinks. Criticism is just as important as praise.
For me the songs are ok, good playing and all that but they don't really jump out and grab me. Still if you play anywhere near me i will sure travel down.
