UK Thrash zine?

I believe a mailing list would be a better idea than any kind of 'zine seeing as about 7 people will actually read it anyway.

Sounds like a good idea. I would most definately be interested in contributing to the 'zine. Would mainly be interested in doing interviews and maybe a round up of thrash news would be cool. Can maybe do the occasional review as well although I'll admit I'm not the greatest reviewer.
Can also sell copies at Full Thrash Assault.

The point about the internet making it redundant is a good one and one i've considered. obviously i think it would be a necessity to publish it on the net (bangover could use his pr0 skillz ) but i also think people want something 'real', in the same way people still want vinyl. giving a cdr or tape and other free stuf (nothing major obviously) may make ordering a hard copy or even 'subscribing' more tempting.
The problem with zines is that although many put their hand up to contribute, most of the work always falls onto one or two people, believe me I've done it!
That said I think it's a great idea, so count me in, and as long as it is printed in gray-scale, bands could run off copies and give away/sell at every UK Thrash gig.
Perhaps it could concentrate on interviews? May I suggest Doctor Death and a post Earache signing Gama Bomb for starters?
Oh and it just has to be cut and paste, with the simple question then answer format, anything more complicated than that and it becomes a magazine and not a fanzine!

Luke and I have idly chatted about doing a zine for ages, and we're slowly getting more motivated, so watch this space. If we do, it won't be just UK thrash though, and it will be a print zine!

Aye, Glam's far less pretentious than Thrash so I could dig subscribing to a magazine/newsletter that covered the debauchery of over-sexed, guitar-playing millionaires.

I'd be happy to help out by formatting, making graphics, processing images etc... either for the web one or paper one.
I don't think I'm 1337 enough to actually contribute any written reviews. It would most likely consist of bad grammar, spelling and just say something like "It's proper good".

Nah, it has to have Martin writing a satirical column. Sod it if it doesn't.
