Batman is for fags.

I'll only watch this to fantasise about Christian Bale raping me.

Ignore him. He's only saying Batman's a fag because he's trying to up the ante after the "get rid of that fag Iain thread". It is literally impossible to not like Batman (unless we're talking about Batman Forever and Batman & Robin... that was so gay).

I liked the Michael Keaton ones. I felt I'd been lied to by the people that claimed Batman Begins was the best one. It so wasn't.

No, it wasn't, the first two are clearly the best. That doesn't take away from the fact that Batman Begins is fucking mint. Batman Begins might not be the best Batman film (I'd still say it's close) but the main thing that it can take credit for is reviving the Batman franchise from the complete fuck about with the likes of Val Kilmer and George Clooney and Arnold Schwarzenegger being the worst bad guy ever. Those films were completely homo-erotic and just ruined all the dark elements that had been put into place - successfully - by Tim Burton in the first two films. From the looks of the trailers for The Dark Knight, they're trying to get back to this style, albeit in a different way to the more fantasy style that Burton often does.

I just can't stand the seemingly endless run of superhero films that have been coming out since X-Men. They're invariably gant and, although Batman Begins was way above average, it's still a superhero film. If it hadn't been done to death already, I'd suggest a return to Mafia films.

I totally agree that it has got very tedious - they are done in such a bland way, drowned in ridiculous CGI and with zero character development. I haven't really seen any of the Batman films though... I don't really watch films much.

Thing is though, even though it seems they're just churging out movie after movie, what has been released was for the people who don't read comics, and they've had their fill. Now, every movie coming out is for the comic book nerd. Deadpool in the new Wolverine movie, no one will know who he is. Black Panther, Nick Fury, Avengers, Deathlok! The future for comic book movies is nothing but fantastic.

You're right, and what you've said is the very reason why Batman Begins is amazing - it's like the cure for all the shitty superhero movies that have come out in recent times. It's pretty much the complete opposite of what you've described - any CGI is completely unnoticeable, and Batman's character is made out to be a lot more complex this time round. And there are hints of further developments in The Dark Knight, which apparently will go into even darker territory (hence the title). Basically, somehow Christopher Nolan succeeded in making Batman Begins seem like a 'realistic' film - that was one of the things that impressed me the most. You don't see Batman until almost an hour into the movie, and the first part is spent building up Bruce Wayne's character and giving plausible reasons for everything that Batman becomes, including the gadgets he uses and how his costume is made up. It's insane and it works, and it's brilliant. This is why it's a cut above every other modern superhero movie that's come out.

DC comics usually come out pretty decent. It's the marvel comics that turn out shit for the most part.

And I wish Katie Holmes was in it. :(

Shark Spray, i fucking love that film.

I am still 100% sure that Mark Hamil should have played the Joker.

That man IS the joker in my eyes.
