Another reminder of this gig plus a wee (sad) side note -

This will be Nicks last ever gig singing with us and we don't know what we're gonna do yet when he's gone so this 'may' be the last Lig gig for a while if not ever its too early to say. There is no bad blood or anything the dude is a fuckin pure bro to all of us in the band and always will be, so if your at a loose end that night come on down. We're gonna be doing some new(ish) stuff and some old stuff, lets see how many people we can get up singin MDK to give Nick a wickla send off.


Plus we'll be givin out Cd's too so if you need some new beermats you have even more reason to come

Ten Masked Men were a bit bland. Star Wars band, novelty wore off after about 5 mins, apart from,.... "I...AM.....YOUR DAD!!!" Hilarious. All together, a less than desirably good night.

Well with anchorhead there is also the fact that the music is fucking amazing...

I don't think you'll appreciate Anchorhead unless you rape the films. I rape the films.

Ligature were OK but they are another band where the singer is on the floor with his back to me. Necrocest were a good death metal band, I'd like to see them again. Anchorhead had technical problems at the beginning and I thought it was all a little lacklustre and messy. Ten Masked Men were predictable and slightly amusing while drunk. Not my best night at the turtle to be honest.

I only really went to see Ligature. Ended up missing them due to football related lateness. Came in half way through Necrocest, sounded pretty solid but nothing that special. I thought Anchorhead were funny, but the novelty wore off (2 novelty headline bands? It just doesn't..make...sense..) Ten Masked Men (only 5 of them) were okay, but got bored after the first few, and then started wondering how a band can be happy playing metal cover songs all night every night.

It was an alright gig, but I missed the only bloody band I wanted to see. Screwin.
