When I first saw an advert for American Dad, I thought it was a joke that it was being made, because of how much it looked like a ridiculous spoof of Family Guy.
It's actually brilliant though - I bought Series 1 and 2 today, 12 quid each. Bitchin'.

What I've seen of American Dad hasn't impressed me at all. In fact I found it quite shit, although it's got Captain Jean-Luc Picard, USS Enterprise in it, which is amazing. Now everyone go and listen to this: http://hjem.wanadoo.dk/~wan13237/darkma ... d_song.mp3

Aye, American Dad is fantastic though the second and third seasons haven't been as good as the first.
It's just a breath of fresh air seeing as none of the American animated series have really had much in the way of plot since Futurama was cancelled. They're done well to build up the characters as well. The fact that you can actually detect some kind of personality in Roger and Stan marks something that Family Guy totally failed to achieve. The jokes are often pretty subtle too.
All-in-all, I love it.

Re: New South Park
Right, the first 2 episodes were very average. not really that funny and to me a bit of a let down. luckily the 3rd episode is well back on form, hilarious!
Now, you are all foolish for missing this the first time around:

Re: New South Park
Thoughts on the Canada episode?
My favourite part was probably the battle between all the internet characters, and also the cheapshot at Family Guy!

The Family Guy bit was brilliant, especially as I'd just rewatched the Cartoon Wars episodes the other night, bloody great! I liked the new episode. It wasn't the best thing in the world, but it's always good when it's got Canadians in it, it was hilarious enough, and still better than the first 2 episodes, which I still think were pretty good.
