After Metallica I did check out Slayer and Megadeth a bit later. However, this didn't really get me into thrash, just a passing interest. However, Bonded by Blood really sticks in my head as a point where I thought thrash was just fucking amazing. That's when I realised how much energy and vitality I thought the music had. Another big one was Handle with Care. There have been loads of great finds before and since these two, but they stick in my head as turning me onto Thrash!
"And what about the churches and all their wealth
There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

I girl at school lent me Megadeth's Peace Sells album. It was the newest megadeth album out at the time. I was just getting into metal at the time and thought i really like this. Still one of my favourate albums now.

Probably either Master of Puppets or Among The Living. That anthrax album bowled me over like a pin made of lemons.

An old Music for Nations compilation album called "Speed Kills" got me into thrash back in 1985.
I'd got into metal mid '84, gone through the usual bands to start with, AC/DC, Maiden, Sabbath etc but was always on the lookout for something heavier and faster.
That album came along and blew me away. I went straight out and bought albums by virtually all the bands featured on it.
Exodus, Metallica, Slayer, Celtic Frost and Bathory to name but a few.

However, my landmark album was Reign in Blood.
Never been anything but my favourite album since the day I bought it.

For me it was Anthrax's Attack of the Killer B's, Slayer's Reign in Blood (obviously), and Sep's Beneath the Remains and Arise albums. Totally awesome to the max.

Hello to everyone. I'm coming from Greece and this is my first ever posting. First ever Thrash album was "Kill 'em All". This album is responsible for my passion for thrash metal.
