Hey Kids.... IRON MAIDEN!

Postby Mazz on Mon Jun 30, 2008 11:01 am

Who is going to see Iron Maiden on Saturday? I am and I predict that I will be cool.

Any assholes want to meet and press flesh?

James and Craig are going.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!@!@!@!£@£%^&*(*&^%$£@!

Let's meet and have oh so much fun. I'm going with Stu and Jamie, we can talk about heavy metal and then watch some. What time are you getting there? I don't want to see any of the support bands, they're all rubbish.

I'm up for heading in quite early to meet up with all the boys... me and Craig haven't quite decided how we're getting there yet, but we could probably head off reasonably early however we do it!

Coooool

I have your phone numbers so that's sorted…expect a call.

Not sure what time we are getting there. All I know is that 3 of us are going. I expect we will not be in attendance for the support bands as I believed that they should have had 80’s NWOBHM bands as support.

Well we're going to drive up there I think and park in Tesco's car park, like we did for The Police. It's very near the stadium and very nice.

This information I have just given you doesn't serve you in any way whatsoever, but I just wanted to let you all know.

Rime was indeed absolutely awesome to hear live, other highlights for me were Hallowed Be Thy Name and The Clairvoyant.

The only bad thing is that I seem to have done my neck in over the course of the gig - it was aching pretty badly during Sunday and is still marginally painful!

Still, an awesomely brilliant gig, made even better that we managed to see none of the shitty support acts, indulge in a bit of gig atmosphere and have a few beers before heading into the venue.

Definitely money well-spent!

Actually, the best moment of the gig by far was when Stuart walked into the stadium and everyone cheered, then Breaking The Law came on. Really the most unbelievable and hilarious thing that has ever happened and probably will ever happen in my whole life.

Welcome to 'bangovers'!

I loved it, probably the biggest scale gig I've ever been to, and aside from a few disposables Maiden's set was totally awesome. Some of my favourites were Clairvoyant, Rime/Powerslave, Moonchild, Wasted Years and Revelations. Bloody great.
