Yeah but the Croats' penalties made it worth watching after all. I can't remember seeing such a shit penalty shoot out before.

Most people I've spoken to think Italy will sneak it now. I'm not so sure. I do reckon Russia could go all the way on the evidence of last night's performance. However, Germany aren't to be written off yet.

Thank fuck Italy went out. I don't think I've ever seen a worse game of football. Well, the Rangers - Zenit Saint Petersburg is up there but at least that had goals.

I kind of wish they were using Golden Goal this time around.
