You bloody tell 'em.
Saying that, after seeing Opeth at Hammerfest, I do kind of agree that they're not really a festival band. Especially an outdoor one. It'll only work if it's dark and thundering and lightning.

Re: Bloodstock 2010
Opeth at bloodstock last time just washed over me, great band but like mastodon, not suitable for a big outdoor party crowd.

Re: Bloodstock 2010
Yeah you're right, I think you can only really enjoy an Opeth gig if you are already into them and familiar with the songs, or if you are just really into that kind of music and willing to stand and enjoy some musical fun without much action, hence why they don't really work with a festival crowd full of madmen. I'll watch them, and probably get really annoyed at all the idiots moshing to them inappropriately and talking over the lovely acoustic bits, the elitist that I am.

Re: Bloodstock 2010
i know, but the band are obviously rehearsed and free to play, so why do we have to endure opeth when we could still have them, even with glenn hughes!!!! life isnt fair, im off to put my head in the oven.....................

Yeah they're doing an opening gig there. Bloodstock would have been more time like they wanted!
Out of the bands announced so far I will watch (If they don't all clash):
Meshuggah
HOD
Mutant
Obituary
Evile
Benediction
WitchSorrow
Suffocation
GWAR
Gojira
Bloodbath
Cannibal Corpse
