Right here is the current line up:
As I Lay Dying, At the Gates, Autumn, Avantasia, Axel Rudi Pell, Axxis, Carcass, Children of Bodom, Corvus Corax, Crematory, Destructor, Dream of an Opium Eater, Enemy of the Sun, Evocation, Girugamesh, Excrementory Grindfuckers, Gorerotted, The Force Gorgoroth, Hatebreed, Iron Maiden, Kamelot, Killswitch Engage, Kreator, Krypteria, Lord Belial, Lordi, Nifelheim, Nightwish, Obituary, Powerwolf, Primordial, Sabaton, Saltatio Mortis, Sonata Arctica, The Bones, Warbringer
As i guessed correctly when it was announced Maiden are playing the Thursday therefore it will be a full length Maiden show as appossed to a shorter set on the Saturday or Friday. The line up isn't too bad (not as good as last years yet) theres bands that are definatly showing the way Wacken is getting more mainstream with Hatebreed, Killswitch, lordi, As i lay dying and Nightwish. Though bands like Kreator, Nifelheim, carcass and at the gates still appeal to me. Plus the usual amounts of "who the hell are they bands" though i reckon the organisers have something cool up their sleeves (for example last year sabbat confirming in the month before) though i pray to god its not machine head or trivium. Though we shall see!

To quote Lordi and Nightwish has played in previous years thus they are wacken friendly not going "mainstream." Also your statement about Sabbat is true regarding thrash community otherwise hardly a big ace...
I just thought i would add that
