Annoying heroin addicted glamour tramp.

No thanks.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

 sounds like a showbiz section headline in the Sun.i hope you didnt just base the above opinion solely on his newspaper "antics" (he even explains some stories are entirely made up during a part in his live show and has the papers with him to read aloud)

yeah i too couldnt stand him originally but eventually changed my view and realised just how clever and witty he actually can be if you look past the glamour and all the prancing about.his stand up show is great.

but if you still dont like him then how about Alan Carr?the gay one(NOT JIMMY) :D
i saw him live at the apollo a while ago(the one that got released on dvd)

is Noel fielding a "glamour tramp" too?

Noel Fielding is everything wrong with modern Britain wrapped up in the body of a poncy fruitcup fagboy.

c'mon.....

anyone like Bill Bailey? he is the modern day guru/legend

or for black comedians how about Chris Rock,Katt Williams or John Witherspoons stand up stuff :D

please no1 say the silly Lee Evans :wall: Norman Wisdom is 100000000 times funnier and more talented,i know he didnt do stand up but he is definately up there as one of,if not the true legend of british comedians in my opinion.

me and a mate do like a bit of Tommy Cooper.

isnt it strange how i/we laugh at vulgar and naughty/gross comedians and at times i/we are rather "coarse" or bad taste on this forum, yet 2 of my fave comedians tommy cooper/norman wisdom didnt rely on swearing/sex jokes/profanity etc to be funny which shows they are true genius'.

i think i have an eclectic enough sense of humour, and i like quite a varied range of styles and types of comedy, hence my odd crazy posts from time to time.
theres nothing like a good laugh.

my all time no1 faves are:Matt Stone and Trey Parker/south park, team america.orgazmo, baseketball, cannibal the musical and thats my bush.
overall through life i have definately laughed out loud the most over the years at all thier work.
if you added up all my laughing at various things,Matt and Treys work would total untold hours and beat anything by miles.

oh yeah and as for british comedy duos,Rik Mayall and Ade Edmonson have provided me with many a laugh since i was 10years old.

underated/unsung heroes have to be:Kevin Eldon,Rich Hall and Paul Kaye.

I hate Bill Bailey.

Trey Parker and Rik Mayall are the funniest people ever to have lived. They were never reduced to a career in Stand-Up, so they have my respect.

I just generally don't value Stand-Up. Any tit can get up on a stage and make people laugh. That's what AC/DC tribute bands are for.

theres plenty i cant stand too...

jim davidson and roy chubby brown are absolute bollocks.they just rely totally on smut and over do it on the swearing.
untalented people which should only appeal to geezers and football yob types.

i detest all that way too high energy american sitcom style cack ie:frasier, friends, spin city, will and grace and all the other one liner, body twitching, over the top face making bullshit white american tripe.the audiences for that in my opinion are fucking simpletons.

some of the black stuff is way better and cleverly put together ie:everybody hates chris, the wayans brothers,my wife and kids and kenan and kel.

also i hate that graham norton, the seedy ugly poof.yet alan carr is actually a really funny homo.
so i dont dicscriminate :-)

NEIN!

Stand-Up comedy is just reciting observational humour. That's only half of what good comedy is; putting it into the form of a Sit-Com or what have you takes much more effort because you have to script it to death. If a joke is still funny after you've redrafted a script umpteen times, you know you're on to something. Obviously that doesn't mean Sit-Coms are invariably better than Stand-Up - as Friends, Scrubs and The IT Crowd have shown - but I can't think of a single Stand-Up whose shows I'd want to go and see, or even own on DVD.

Michael Richards's 'nigger' faus pax is about the only good thing I've seen a Stand-Up comedian do in recent times.
