Whilst I do agree with their anti-Goth sentiments, I'm not sure kicking a female Goth to death was the right thing to do. Discuss.

P.S. See if you do an acronym of Goth Park Murder, you get GPM. It sounds like a crime, like GBH. Future generations of chav/ned will be put on trial for GPM or Attempted GPM.

Just last week, a mate of mine called Ad got beaten up, and ended up in hospital.

Aye, we've all had our fair share of experiences.
It's going through the lesser lit areas at night you've really got to be careful around though, incredibly easier to get caught off guard and cornered.

What really fucks me off is the way they bring head stamping and kicking into a fight when there's just no fuckin' need. Someone's knocked down and that should be the end of it, not stamping on their fuckin' heads. A few started on me a few years ago coz i had my leather on and i gave them a pasting, and i was the one that got in trouble. Shithouses.

This reminds me of the time I had a fight with someone when I was 11. I ended up kicking him in the ribs a few times when he was down. I felt like a big man. Mind you, I had headbutted the same person previously so I felt I needed to get the message through once and for all.

I didn't kill him though.

Gay, i have never really had any trouble. One assault but that wasn't goth/metal inspired. I usually just tell them to fuck themselves and if they get leary i square up to them.

I guess if you are not frightened of them it throws them off a bit, wankers.

I've heard some horror stories about unprovoked beatings taking place in Glasgow but, having lived here for four years, have never actually seen anything out of the ordinary. Well, apart from drunks lying around on the pavement during the day but it's a very working-class city.

Neds or whatever you want to call them, in my experience at least, tend to stick to certain areas of towns. Sure, if you go into Kelvingrove Park at night you're going to be either sodomised or stabbed. But if you're stupid enough to go there at night whilst being fully aware of its reputation, you can't really expect anything else. The best way to avoid having neds setting at you is to avoid them altogether. It's really not that hard.

Incidentally, does anyone know if the park in question here a complete haven for cottagers, murderers, and rapists?

But as to the original post,well sadly it's always gone on,not usually ending in murder,but even 25 years ago my friends and I were routinely mocked for looking "different" and we all had the odd beating for our trouble.But I'm older and wiser now,and noone bothers me,but that's probably 'cause 15 years olds wearing make up and black clothes are a much easier target.

This pisses me off big time. They'll start with anyone when they're in their gangs.
A guy I went to school with got sent down for beating some innocent guy to death while he was in his fucking gang.
I have to walk home from work at 11pm everynight now since I've got no car anymore, and on my way back tonight I walked past a gang of meff edds with a dog. One of them said "allright" in a kind of mocking way, but I just looked at him and carried on walking. If I had my top unzipped and they saw my Pantera shirt, I'd have probably gotten in a bit of shit. It's easy to kick someones arse when you're armed with numbers and a fucking dog.

On the way to work last week some little bastard teenagers were pointing pellet guns at me on a bit of wasteland I have to walk past. I thought, I could easily kick their arses but the closer I get to them, the bigger target I'll become for their guns. It's not gonna be long before I get my arse kicked, specially with summer coming up where the gangs will be out in even bigger numbers.

I'm gonna have to start carrying weapons around again...
