Did I dream this or did I see steve doing some kind of cartwheel dive off of the stage? Is he OK?

No idea who Steve is but didn't he do 2 of them? They made me cringe.
It was a brilliant night regardless.

Great night, special mention to seregon who were superb, not seen them for a few years but they were ace. The covers set at the end was good fun, although the fella taking the nose dive off stage just to hit the floor looked a tad painful!

Re: Mike Alexander Memorial Shows - 7th and 8th Dec
Truly was a remarkable couple of days. Got up to Leeds at around 6:45PM on Monday after leaving at 3PM, the show was incredible, emotional and special. Mikes family spoke at the show including a very heartfelt message from his Mum after the covers set, this... got me. After the show and hugs/handshakes we set off back to Bristol as several of us had work in the morning, getting in at 3:30 and back into work for 8:30.
Headed to London at 2PM and was in teh venue for around 4:30, the night had a strange and powerful energy about. You really had to be there to feel the full force of a big thrash family getting together and celebrating a true legend of a man in the only way he would of wanted.
Highlights of the night was the deafining chants of 'MIKE' in the Bridge riff of our song 'Cancer Race', the rabid crowd during Mutant's 'Psycho Surgery', Gama Bomb's fitting dedication of 'Bullet Belt', the insane response to Talita's request of a Minutes noise in honor of Mike and the icing on the cake which was Ben form Evile taking lead vocals on Metallica's 'Seek and Destroy' which Ben explained was the first song that they all played together in the practice room many moons ago.
Thankyou to everyone who came down, donated, bought raffle tickets, Lucy/Myra/Lucy (Swift)/Talita for everything they did on the 2 nights, thankyou to the bands, Mutant, Gama bomb and of course the mighty and indestructable Evile.

That was bloody brilliant, Nile next week'll probably seem a bit tame after it. I did a couple of nasty dives into empty spaces, but I had my thick head to land on so not too much damage done. Steve landed right on his back though, he was limping a fair bit afterwards. Still, great night and I can't think of a better tribute to Mike.

What a great gig, was awsome at the end with everyone chanting "Mike". Was a really good tribute, and I would say a full success, hopefully plenty of money was made.
My back is pretty much fucked, I had had a fair few drinks and thought it would be a good idea to front flip off the stage onto the floor, fucked up my day of skating today too.

Leeds was absolutely fucking specacular, thanks to all the UK thrashers there. Probably the best gig I'll ever go to in my life.

So sorry not to be able to get to Leeds.
( Had to go back to work for the kids' Xmas performance )
Tony ( Drake) has asked me to pass on his personal thanks for the bloody brilliant fundraising effort by the UK thrash team and its forumers.
They are astounded by your generosity of spirit

Re: Mike Alexander Memorial Shows - 7th and 8th Dec
Wow almighty. What an experience indeed!
It was a bloody weird couple of days, that's for sure. Probably the most important and great gigs we've ever played, but at the same time wishing the reason for playing them didn't exist... but anyway, it was full steam ahead or nothing! It was amazing (as it always is) to see the Gama Bomb and Evile guys again (and also meeting Ol and Matt's dad was great, he's the nicest most lovely man ever!!) too. But yeah, general weird feelings all around at the start. The Leeds gig went very well, but it was overwhelmingly emotional at times too - I guess being closer to their home, the feeling was a bit more somber, but still we did a good job I think of making it a good heavy metal occasion. The London gig felt a bit more uplifting - the crowd were a bit more violent (which is always good), and it was more of a celebration of a great man, rather than a mourning of his passing, which I'm sure is what Mike would've preferred! It was heartwarming to see so many people there supporting the cause, kind of re-establishes your faith in the metal community if you know what I mean. Basically, it was amazing.
As for the actual gig itself, it was beastly. All the bands were awesome, and the covers set was so much fun! Playing on stage with Evile and Nick Barker was something that I can't really quite believe actually happened yet. RIDICULOUS is the word to use for the moment. AMAZING is another one. Yeah, christ almighty. Matt, Ol and Ben are so amazing, and Ben was hilariously amazing on vocals!! Nick Barker was just poundingly heavy, just fucking amazing. I can't even believe it, to be honest.
Anyway, despite all the emotional madness and crazy shiznit, I'm pretty certain that Mike would've loved these shows. I don't know how much money was raised altoghether, but I'd imagine it was a nice hefty sum, and I hope it helps his kids out in the future, and I hope his younguns will learn how much of a great and respected man their dad was.
Well done indeed Evile boys, you are the best. Now forge on with your mighty metal and destroy the world!

it was quite hilarious when you guys played reign in blood, i don't know whether it was intentional but it looked un intentional, guess it feels like the natural thing to do after playing post mortem.
