I read this all as just a bit of fun - a cool idea to rustle up some expectations for the tour, and they clearly weren't making the deep musical commentary that some of you are reading into it. We all have a few duff albums kicking around that we wouldn't mind smashing up, no matter what the genre.

I do agree with Jon's point that this would potentially be a nightmare for venues though! Even at Apocalyptic Rage it got pretty nasty with all those slimey marshmallows and then the bits of broken plastic cups sticking to your shoes...

And the one other irony that no one seems to have mentioned so far - aren't SWORN AMONGST generally considered to be gant metal?!

The fact that anyone even noticed the press release means it's working for Gama Bomb. I'm sure no one is gonna slash an emo and I really fucking hope more people go to the gigs and have a laugh.

I'm gonna bring all my Boney M CD's and get in to a fight with the drummer :)

I mean, Gama Bomb and Evile are happy to tour with bands like Exodus and Megadeth and those bands are now putting out stuff that is way worse than Significant Other by Limp Bizkit. The only difference between Exodus now and Nu-Metal bands then is that Exodus should know better. I just hope that people have the savvy to throw their copies of The System Has Failed and Thrash Anthems in with the lot when they're purging their CD racks of Nu-Metal...


It's annoying when Iain posts things like this, because I hate him despite the fact that he's more intelligent than most of us.
