Reminds me a bit of Pitiful Reign. Chunky guitar sound, but struggling to see anything that marks you out from the pack. Find the drums a bit artificial, but not quite as bad as the Earache Syndrome. I think with a lot of UK thrash bands, the realm of lyrics is a HUGE missed opportunity - there don't seem to be many bands venturing into themes are words that are at all eye-catching.

What the hell are you trying to say there James themes are words? and I wouldnt say lyrics can really be "eye catching" as you listen to them mostly...

anywhoo, liking the new tracks guys although I'm sure the guitars sounded just a bit chunkier on the demo tracks before, still pretty ace stuff!

I think, caspio, that there has been a bit of mistyping there. I think that James is arguing that most bands lack any creativity or eloquence to their lyrics. I know what he means. I mean, compare any band with Sabbat, lyrically, and they all come across as barely literate monkeys.

Listening now for the first time so I can't say too much but this sounds MUCH better than the stuff I had heard previously. Liking the solos too.

There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

To be fair i got the gist of his point but as ever I was feeling like a pedantic wanker. It's a fair point with alot of music these days actually, lyrics often seem to be an afterthought, something I know we are guilty of at times.

It sounded wayyy too much like Evile :(

And the drums almost had pretty much that Earache sound..... And lyrically, I tend to agree with James!!!

This coming from the man who sings about an Isle of Dogs? That's fucking rich. I'm going to do a cover of it but to the tune of Thrash Island by Amok:

DOG!
IS-LAND!

IS-LAND!

You've mis-heard it entirely, you Scotch idiot.

The lyrics are:

I LOVE DOGS!

I LOVE DOGS!

LYALL OF DOGS!

Don't be daft, you poncey southern twat! I haven't heard it at all (I never actually listen to anything). I just find the concept of an island inhabited solely by dogs to be quite amusing. They'd probably establish a rigid hierarchy based on which dog has glossiest coat and propensity to do obstacle courses. It'd be like Crufts sans the people.

It's a good job it's about that then. Either way, I won't be drawn into an argument about the lyrics of a band I hate.
