Metallica: Death Magnetic - Track by track review!!

Postby bobbyp on Fri Aug 29, 2008 11:23 am

Hey up,

My name is Toby and yesterday 'The Quietus' was treated to a playback of the full album. It's really good.

I've posted a full review on our website if anyone wants to read it.

The Quietus review (http://www.thequietus.com/articles/meta ... k-by-track)

We've also just published an interview with Lars.

Thought some of you might be interested.

Cheers.

Very nice, the album sounds like it's gonna be good.

Sounds like a very poor version of the And Justice For All album.

Yeah, I don't like any of what I heard. The Unforgiven III sounds awful too.

Luckily no one - myself included - ever sees it because it's between my shoulder blades and I'm finally above showing my crap tattoo, incredible stretchy skin and scars to people in the pub.

You could always just get "are shite" inked underneath it to avoid appearing to be a hypocrite.

I only listened to a couple of the samples. Still looking forward to getting the cd a week on Friday to make a proper judgement. Not expecting anything earth shattering. I just want to be reasonably entertained for 75 minutes. As has been said before, you cannot expect a bunch of 40 something, tea drinking dads to write an aggressive, alcohol fuelled thrash record ala their first four albums. Although Slayer will keep trying...and failing.

I've seen it.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

I'm adamant I'll be able to praise them again at some point. I still listen to the Black Album from time to time but only a couple of songs from the rest of their albums combined. It's funny because I wanted a Megadeth tattoo but changed my mind when I saw the guy who'd be doing it was cross-eyed: he'd never have got the 3D effect right.

Ask your bird to marry you and I'm sure she'll put out for that long.

She would have to entertain herself for the other 74.5 minutes though.
