Axis drum pedals

Postby creator on Thu May 25, 2006 11:21 am

Are any of you drummers using bass drum pedals by Axis? If so, what do you think of them, I'm using one at the minute with longboards on and its taking some getting used to with the fact that it is so light to use, I've got it in my head that no one can hear the bass drums, yet the other band members say they can feel it never mind hear it.
Just wondering how you's feel if your using them.

My drummer uses Axis Longboards. Before he got them he had trouble getting his double bass speeds up to 180bpm comfortably. Within about a week of playing them he was up to 240bpm. The only downside is they cost a fucking bomb.

They are pricey, I was lucky, I put my Pearl double pedal in part X with £60.

I do quite fancy them, but there's no way I'm spending that much any time soon!

Creator the pedals are the dogs bollocks.... a bloke two miles from the practise room is still trying to straighten his house after our last practise.

Have you adjusted the springs?
If you tighten them up, the action will then be heavier.

They are Dave, once Chris got them he got noticeably faster in about 2 weeks.

About not being able to hear the bass drum thats easy to fix. Get a Roland TD7 sound module and a DDrum Redshot trigger.
