As thrash metal's premier 'sport' im wondering if there are any skateboarders on the forum?
I have recently started up again and am loving zooming down the street listening to speed metal! I am currently in the process of building a mini ramp in the garden so I can thrash and drink beer in the sun!
Grip it and rip it!

this week's sport for me has been the start of my swimming regime, in my mission to be less of a slob. Going strong after 3 days!

ATOM YOU RULE!!!!
Thrash metal skating IS the way!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a particularly nice setup, it's pretty metal tbh theres a skeleton on the bottom of my deck and the wheels used to have skulls, blood and a pentagram on them
Not been out for a long time, I'm too lazy, I'd rather ride my bike any distance anyways

In my town most of the skaters are sound guys. A couple of the skater kids are into 'tallica and Slayer's early stuff, it's pretty kool.
I don't like the 'scene' at all though, fuck hanging around to skate all day, just go have a smoke or whatever
What's you're fave band to skate to?
DRI and Vio-lence are pretty awesome, anything really fast does it for me

Any thrash is great to skate to especially slayer, it literaly feels like that is what it was designed for. Alot of the old thrash bands and ragers used to skateboard. Suicidal, James H, Anthrax, Sepultura all ripped it.
The problem with todays skate scene is the whole fashion aspect of it and skaters trying to constantly 'out cool' one another. When I roll up to a spot it sometimes feels like im being judged on every move I make.
It would be good if skating went back to being fun and not a race to get good or a fashion show. When I skate nowadays I just bomb around and carve, im completely different from how I was... Which was trying to do super tech stuff but now im having way more fun just skating and listening to thrash.
If anyone is ever in Ealing and wants to skate mini ramp at my house then PM me for my number and give me a call, beer-thrash-skate!

You are, they're probably all thinking "that guy's clothes aren't very cool, he needs some rip-off trendy brands" or something like that!

Yeah its such a shame man, ah well...
I know quite a few people now who are into metal and skating so maybe the scene will change as UK thrash gets bigger and people start skating for fun again.
Tony Trujilo is waaaay into metal and he won a S.O.T.Y. award from Thrasher magazine, hes holding it up for Thrashboarders around the world!
