Yeah I remember reading about DMC3 being ridiculously difficult, that's why I didn't get it, haha! Although didn't they release a special easy edition? Which is quite hilarious.

Essentially, what happened was Capcom felt that American and European gamers were too badass so they bumoped the difficulty up a notch - the US and UK versions' Normal mode was the equivilant of the Jap version's Hard mode, etc. and some people crywanked over the retarded difficulty at first. Then Capcom did a special edition which readjusted the difficulty and had a bunch of new shit, the most notable being the option to play as Vergil... but it was REALLY badly done, essentially put in as an afterthought. If you haven't played it yet, then I strongly recommend doing so - only if you get the original version though. Fuck that easy shit, it's for pussies

I never got round to getting Kingdom Hearts 2, but I bloody loved the first one!! What about Dragon Quest on the PS2? (I think it's number 8 in the series, 'The Journey of the Cursed King'). That's quite fun, although I bought it ages ago and gave up after around 6 or 7 hours, although I'd like to get back into it at some point. A bit silly, but quite nice. The Japanese go completely bonkers for Dragon Quest apparently.

KH is a bit mental but overall decent, a real odd mix of things.

Right, so I started Final Fantasy 4 again. About 17 hours in, and I'd just like to say...


.... Fuck this shit. Fuck this game, fuck it right in the face. I completely forgot how goddamn merciless it is in some places - when I faced the Demon Wall I was nearly reduced to tears after having flashbacks of losing to that fucker about 200000 times when I was twelve. I'm grateful that when we (eventually) got FF4, we the the original 'hardtype' game, but fucking hell I understand why the japanese toned down the difficulty for the overseas release at first. This game is moe vicious than Faraz when someone's trying to snatch his KFC away.

Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is now available on PSN. I'm so glad I called in sick today. I'm going to cry with joy all day!
