DIY Bands : Useful Links

Postby Seregon-James on Wed May 12, 2010 10:41 am

Alreet all!

As there are a good few of us doing things off our own backs, thought it would be a good idea for everyone to post links or request info on the best places to get things like Merch and CD duplication etc.

Here's a couple to get going, i'll update this post as people reply with links / recommendations.

Useful Links

CD Duplication : http://www.mediashack.co.uk/ - These guys are based in Ireland, quality was superb of our latest CD and found them to be the cheapest on a hunt about 8 months ago, maybe other people have found cheaper?

T-shirts : http://www.funeralmoonclothing.com/ - Do some cheap T-shirts, only 1 or 2 colour designs but if you have an effective design then this is a cheap way of getting some shirts out and about. We can sell them on at £5 a pop and still make a little profit to invest in more! - Us, Damnas and HOD have used them before I do believe.

Flyers : http://www.peppermintprint.co.uk/ - Fairly local to me, great guys and do things at a reasonable price, e.g. A3 full colour posters on a good grain/weighted paper for 50p a pop.

============================================================================================================

Can anyone recommend where I can buy some wristbands / sweatbands etc.? Not having much like in finding some which aren't horrendously expensive.

Killer idea, this

I found a wristband place awhile ago but they were - as stated - horrendously expensive.

That is a really good link Povey.

And this thread is a fantastic idea!

My only problem with sticky threads is they tend to fall of the radar as it's so hard to tell if there's been a post unless you look at the last post date. So perhaps a change of icon for the stickies as well Craigums.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

The icon does change, but it's not very obvious.

If it helps, the company me and James used for the UKT A6 flyers is www.printcarrier.com - they were fairly quick, and for the price I'd recommend them - I believe Jamie told us about them at first :)

For T-shirts, we buy a load of plain ones from here and then get them printed locally. We've found it works out cheaper that way but I guess it depends on whoever you go to...

We got some patches made up at over-zone.com. They are really nice quality, and about 3 quid a piece (they are embroided)

Check it out!

Bumping - does anyone here know where one may obtain some high quality woven patches? None of that printed shit. Those are rubbish.
