Melt Banana and Discordance Axis are just amazing. Have you seen the Discordance Axis DVD? It probably the most intense brutal thing ever. Jon Change put all singers to shame on it. If you haven't yet, check out his new band 'Gridlink'. It sounds like Vio-lence on crack and amphetamines. 'Swarrrm' from Japan are another great one.
Also check out 'Mindflair', a highly underrated Crust Grind band from Germany

Not yet man but i've been after that dvd for ages, i'll check out his new band for definite.

Another underrated German grind band are Keitzer, fooking amazing and the tightest live band i ever saw.

I think this forum might be due a Grind thread, really. I really want to expand my grind collection. It's not all for me but Terrorizer, Repulsion and Brutal Truth are all fucking excellent.

On topic, I really haven't checked enough Brit death to vote fairly. Carcass are awesome. It took me a while to move from thinking Necroticism was pretty cool to a truely premium DM album but I love it for the sumpremely crafted riff-fest it is now. Napalm Death are one of my favourite bands ever but I do not really consider them Death Metal. Some of the stuff is but not the stuff I really know (I have Scum, FETO and all their albums since Enemies of the Music Business - I know that's a big fucking gap but what can you do?) and so as a DM band I don't think I should vote for them. ENT did one DM album and, as far as I have been told, it was an ill-advised diversion. Besides that I'm pretty ignorant. So:

Benediction - that was Barney's band before Napalm, yes? Are they any good and where's a good place to start?
Bolt Thrower - only heard a bit of them. Didn't blow me away. Solid but that was it. I take it they are beyond solid due to people's excitement over them. Any recommendations of where to start?
Gorotted - Heard some tracks. I thought they were pretty good but I didn't proper love it. Saw The Rotted live (supporting Napalm) and was actually very impressed. Never got the album but was tempted after that.

There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way
This horde of wealth is a sickening display"

Do you like Killing Music? I think it's a bit of a boring album.

You're missing Those Once Loyal from the Bolt Thrower albums in my opinion. Its a great album and full of songs that would be classics live, if they played live enough.

I fucking hate Ted Maul. Not because of their music but because they fucked about at bloodstock last year and pissed off everyone in our campsite.

So I pissed on their tent.

Ted Maul are total bollocks; an example of people trying to be 'extreme' and 'experimental' by mixing crap pseudo metal with drum and bass. I don't know why people feel that metal so desperately needs changing or 'updating'.
