Hi there i'm Stefan and i'm from Glasgow
I've been into metal for 3 years and i'm a guitar player for 4 years.
I've been apart of 3 metal forums and sadly they all are deceaced.
I'm joining this to try to find a band, advertise my music and have some friendly violent fun with the people on here and hopefully find the glasgow metal scene i cant find in school haha.
My fav bands are Megadeth, Exodus and Hirax
Another than metal i'm a big football fan and a HUGE fan of Queens Park Fc

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hi all,
Well this is a pleasant surprise! I knew there must be some THRASH forums out there somewhere. Who'd have thought there'd be one in my own country.
Being 40, no wait 41 (dammit!)... and into metal since 82 (Iron Maiden/Motorhead) then Venom and Thrash from 83, Kill Em All etc etc... I've had a long history with Thrash. I formed my first thrash band in 1985 (Bestial Invaders) then Cycorax in 1986 (until 1991). After that I still followed metal but save for a few excellent albums here and there (Nasty Savage 2004, Whiplash 1999), thrash really died a death. Death Metal really never did it for me the same way.
When the whole resurgence thing started I have to say I was kind of resistant to it. But I think that's largely because the most popular bands aren't the best of what's out there.
Over the last few months I've been investigating the new-Thrash scene and have found some excellent bands, like Vektor, Eternal Devastation, Guillotine, Insane, Violator...
This along with some great new releases from bands like Sodom and Artillery has really reignited my passion for thrash.
So much so that I think for the past three months I've listened to nothing else, and I've even started writing and playing my guitar again after much disinterest.
Being old I have been fortunate enough to see quite a few thrash bands over the years including:
Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Voivod, Venom, Celtic Frost, Kreator, Nuclear Assault, and was lucky enough to attend the Christmas on Speed Festival in Leeds in 1987.
Of course there's 100's of bands I never got to see too. I'd loved to have got to see Razor, Nasty Savage, Whiplash, for example...
Ah well.
Here's a clip of me playing live in 1991 (I'm the fat one on the right )

Welcome on board!
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hello. Been lurking these forums for a long time - thought it was time to finally contribute.
I like thrash and satan. The END.
OK not quite - also like death, black, crust, grind, prog, heavy etc.
Recently been 'digging' Hellbringer, Sabbat [JPN], Mutant, Vektor, Evile and SSS. Looking forward to Deceptor's new EP - which is rare as I normally don't give two hoots about new releases.
