Morbid Saint > Most Bands.

First time I heard Spectrum of Death my face literally went "" such a fucking great album.

Destruction System is just as good too if it wasnt for the lack of production, killer drumming on it.

Spectrum of Death is so intense. Assassin and Scars being my favourite tracks. Perfect dirty production and great barking vocals.

In my view, Morbid Saint is just one more unearthed obscure thrash band that is now be heralded as a lost classic when it's simply nothing spectacular. This happens with a disturbing frequency, and is only increasing. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a GOOD album. But it's certainly far and away from being one of the best obscure thrash albums of all time.

Personally I'd say something like Drunken State - Kilt By Death is a great example of an obscure thrash album which is nothing special.

Spectrum of Death on the other hand is something which seperates Morbid Saint from the rest of the generic thrash bands that where popping up. Whether it be Pat Lind's amazing vocals, the killer riffs or sheer pace and aggression of it.

Sorry about the bump but if you havnt got either Spectrum Of Death or Destruction System then you need to get your hands on those tracks now as its the most poser crushing thrash you will ever hear.

There is a riff on the track 'Assassin' that lays waste to every other riff on the planet, go check it out:

Few of you probablly already known this but a couple of the Morbid Saint guys are now in a band called Hallowcore http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... d=74893794 no tracks up yet though ;\ Pat Lind isn't in them anymore though he moved away or somecrap, not sure if they're looking for a replacement or killed it already.
