If you mean self titled, you're all shite.
I meant self-titled, because it's a good album. There are a few good tracks on M.F.K.R. though.

Slipknot may have a few listenable elements, as commercial metal goes, but they are ruined by the horrible rap parts and pussy radio rock parts, in my view.

yeah, which is why i prefer the said tracks above as they seem to be the ones that dont have that. I am actually listening to IOWA again now, and when he is singing aggressively, he actually has a good metal vocal style, that wouldnt sound out of place in many bands that people dont find it fasionable to knock.

I occasionally hear a bit of dissonant Immolation influence in their sound (I know the guitarist is a fan), but like I say, it's mostly too diluted with horribleness. I can't say I've given them a particularly rigorous examination, but those interviews really put me off bothering.

To be honest I really like the first Slipknot album, it's original and full of energy, but the rest of their stuff doesn't really interest me. I'm still definately going to see them at Reading though.

They were really boring when I saw them live a couple of years ago at the Glesgae Barras. Totally shambolic, unorganised, undistinguishable racket. The kids loved them though
Saw the vid for the new song and it was totally uninspiring. One of the guitarists is playing a telecaster fer christs sake!!!!
Like some of you have said before, the self titled album was awesome at the time as it was a cut above/fresher than all the other crap that was around at the time. All the "maggot" bullshit got very boring very quick for me.
