Relationship Rummy sounds like the shittest board game ever.
I'm going to
Tear your fuckin' eyes out,
Rip your fuckin' flesh off,
Beat you 'till you're just a fucking lifeless carcass,
Fuck you and your progress,
Watch me fucking regress,
You were made to take the fall,
Now you're nothing!!

If most are mentally ill, surely it would be those who aren't that would be classed as mentally ill?

Maybe they're all mentally ill in completley different ways, and there are less of any given kind of mentally ill person than there are normal people

What the fuck do I say to that? I suppose I have two questions for you folks.
First, would you 'bring it' and for what purpose? Would you argue for the sake of arguing or would you want to convince your partner that their belief was ludicrous and hope that they rescind their beliefs?

Well first off, I don't know what I'd say to her; however, I love debating and arguing, and I dislike the notion of someone believing something without any evidence.

Alternatively, would you 'leave it' because however comfortable a religious person say they are with their faith, the odds are they don't like a massive dressing down about it. Especially when you're ultimately testing their ability to think in a logical and rational manner.

I have no problem pressing anybody about anything. Religious people shouldn't get a free run on not being able to be attacked on their stupid beliefs. You wouldn't let her get away with thinking going to a doctor is actually bad for your health would you? The point being that all irrational beliefs should be criticized.

I also would not be able to live with someone that said I can't criticize something about them. It's not like you would be criticizing them just for the sake of criticizing, you're criticizing to help. Same as if someone writes a paper, and you tell them, this part fucking sucks, it doesn't make any sense.

Second, could you go out with someone who was religious and how serious could it become? Ultimately, how much would it conflict to be a non-religious person involved with a religious person.

I seriously don't know about this one. If I were to have a family, I could not honestly let them go to church or let my spouse teach them things I vehemently disagree with. I spend a lot of time reading/thinking/listening/talking about Theism and how silly it can be, and just not talking about it would suck.

I don't know what will happen with this long-term but we're not very serious at the moment and I hadn't noticed before so I will allow. However, if she comes along to a gig to hear me scream out such STD ballads as 'Anti-Religion' and 'The Pope is Fucking Dead', I do wonder how long it can last.

I guess if she respects your views and you respect her freedom to believe in what she wants to believe and everything works out fine. Fair enough. I'd just recommend letting her know your thoughts on it, don't hide anything.

Music, Films, and TV are all subject, but there is an objective truth to the God question; disagreements on this don't really fucking matter. However, no body has proven what it is, and I don't know if it will ever be proven; moreover, if the person is so laid back about her beliefs and doesn't care much about converting other people, then what the fuck is the point of having the belief?
