This is gonna be quite a struggle, I feel like death. I want to touch Harris inappropriately. I also want to be able to spell properly. Bye. xx

Re: Forbidden - Camden Underworld - 1st June
I was dead yesterday and so couldn't muster the energy to go. Instead I was asleep at 10. Review of my sleep:
Very deep and soothing. Felt completely rejuvinated upon waking. Ready for a hard days teaching and to rock out at Mutant. Excellent, 10/10.
How was the gig? Would have been cool to see Elimination again but I was a bit unsure about Forbidden after hearing the live tings.

Re: Forbidden - Camden Underworld - 1st June
Elimination were really good. After All were really average IMHO. Forbidden were better then I thought they would be but not classic. Having said that a friend of mine that REALLY likes Forbidden said they were really good.
Forbidden had a 45 minute set up time including a sound check which pissed off the crowd. For a good 20 minutes the house lights were down so everyone though it was gonna start. Turns out they were held up at customs and they couldn't set up properly before this gig. How hard would it have been to just tell us that so we could go to the bar? There wasn't really any major pit but the crowd was quite lively.
It was pretty full but not rammed.
I took some vids of Elimination and After All but not Forbidden.... they ironically forbid me from recording them

Re: Forbidden - Camden Underworld - 1st June
Last night was probably the second most tired I've ever been in my life, and as a result I didn't enjoy myself too much, plus I had to carry my fucking bag around with my cause the cloakroom was shut/shit.
Elimination were cool, not seen them before so was nice, crowd was pretty poor at that point but still they played good.
I thought Forbidden were good but the vocalist didn't really seem to be enjoying himself too much, probably was annoyed due to being arrested. They should have resisted arrest, hur hur. I think I know who you are Metal Dazza, but I'm still not sure, I think I saw you at the bar but for some reason didn't say anything, can't remember why.
Anyway I'm just blabbering now, so bye.

Re: Forbidden - Camden Underworld - 1st June
Thought Forbidden were really really good, and I wasn't expecting much. Russ's voice isn't quite what it used to be, and there were too many effects on it, but I thought the whole band looked like they were having an excellent time, and played a ripping set. The sound was superb, but that might have been due to my earplugs!
The only downside was that while attempting to break up people fighting I got fucking covered in some guys blood. All over my t-shirt, shorts, arm and leg.

Same, my shorts are half green half red! Some right dickheads in there that think it's cool to pull someones hair while 3 of his mates were punching him at the same time. What ya gonna do aye.
Forbidden seemed cool for the first 4 songs!
Glad for Elimination to be on a decent bill, I thought they played well.
Didn't see After all. Trying REALLY hard not to make any Rik-esque puns!
Was cool to bump into so many people, especially Bill and the Somerset crew!

enjoyed Elimination and Forbidden but thought After all were just plain dreadful. Not often I get to Londion for gigs but it was cool seeing steve. Think he was the only person from here i saw.

Re: Forbidden - Camden Underworld - 1st June
that gig was fucking amazing
really impressed by forbidden, they were better than I expected! Russ' vocals were sounding pretty damn good and the guitar sound and everything was absolutely great, Steve Smyth is bastarding amazing on guitar aswell!!!! also, Forbidden played ALL of Twisted into Form, FUCKIN YES!!!! And most of Forbidden Evil, so amazing, I was definately a happy bunny!
Elimination were a great opener, not seen them before so a good first impression live, set sounded sweet aswell!
good to see Faraz and Steve and others, inappropriate touching was... inappropriate i was mashed so i probably didn't make much sense, good to meet some other (new to me) londoners aswell!
until next time!!!

Re: Forbidden - Camden Underworld - 1st June
Cheers man. to be honest I hate the videos. I had to spend ages on the sound. The whole night the low end was over driven making it distort. I spent ages trying to clean it up with filters. That's the best I could get.
Ignoring that Elimination were top.
