If you believe in that sort of thing anyway, irrespective a good chap and unappreciated by most accounts.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.
Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Captain Beefheart was the gnarliest dude ever, he spent the last 20 or so years living in a caravan in a desert. Trout Mask Replica is one of the most ultimate pieces of music ever created, and the stories of his life (especially around that period) are just as amazing and wonderful.
certainly unappreciated, but never unloved!

Re: BEEFHEART R.I.P
I always found it hard (and still to) to get into his mental music (apart from the nice and easy but still very rockin' Safe As Milk), but I always appreciated how unbelievably powerful and magnificent his voice was, and how much of a creative genius he was - his music was, and still is, like nothing I ever heard before, and although I was never into him like Jamie over there, I always enjoyed his madness a lot when I heard it. I have a few of his albums on my laptop, so I should definitely give them more of a listen. I remember that brown one being really good. And the one with that song Peon. Great.
