Simon Strange & Emma from The Lamp of Thoth have finally recorded their debut album - "On Crom's Mountain". Much better than their old demo, with a full band line-up.

Any Lamp fan should love this! Here's my review for my mailorder list (yes, I am stocking it, hint hint )

"With Simon Strange directing things upfront, and Emily providing the back beat, it is not surprising that there are some similarities to the output of The Lamp of Thoth. Their 2009 demo showed the way and made the underground prick up its ears. Since then, a full band has been added and that means that “On Crom’s Mountain” is a far richer sounding release. There are elements of the Lamp to be found here. Obviously, Simon quirky vocal delivery fuels the similarities and there’s lot of fist-pumping choral chants to get to grips with. However, Arkham Witch is a much more straight ahead Metal beast, with a dollop of Doom added on top."
