Heavy Metal Killers (featuring HOD)
Just received my promo copy of the new Earache compilation, as well as an enamel Earache badge and a HMK promotional scarf!

Yes, yes there is.
Heh, I got mine yesterday too. Well, it's the bands so I'm going to have to cut it into 5 pieces and a couple of string tassles for the merch lads.
Are you reviewing it for TZ?

No idea, I could ask. I've only flipped through the first half but I like what I heard.

Reckon from the bands on the MySpace this will be cool, but it's a really clear case of Earache jumping on an underground bandwagon just before it breaks again. Good business sense, but doesn't come across as very genuine.

Err I'm playing it on a £20 CD player so I can't pass comment on this rather audiophile request.

I'm told it sounds a little different, they've probably added a global eq or something.
It could have sounded a lot different if I hadn't accidentally deleted all the pre-master mixes, and not to mention the multitrack recordings during a "clean up". You'd think I'd learn but that's actually the second time I've done such a thing. Never mind!

Waahhhh wahhh wahhhh!
That removes the HOD remasters digipacks in 2025.
I can't tell the fucking difference but the bands levels are the same so some tweaking has been done. Ours is meant to sound like 80's vinyl anyway so having cheap / free gear suits us fine.
I can't honestly call Earache bandwaggon hopping, when you connect these artists with Last FM, over 50% have hardly sold any records or have a great deal of listeners, some have no release out at all and one has split up. It's more them making the bandwaggon for people to hop on to, which as a label is exactly what you want.
I'm going to be biased though, I got a free scarf.
